Suggest Treatment For High Fever, Shivering And Body Pain
Question: Hello Doctor
I had high fever last friday and saturday accompanied by shivering and body pain. I was put on medicines/antibiotics which went until Tuesday afternoon. Since then I am having joint pain (no fever), in arms, legs and below foot, continous pain. I saw a Physician at my office and he advised me Dolo 650 for two more days (the course went over by Friday). The pain is there while walking, sitting, boarding stairs and downstairs.
My Platelet count was 70K during fever and when the fever gone it was 90K. I haven't measured it since then. No Cough, No cold, No Vomiting, KS-1Antigen (Dengue) is negative as well.

After reading your post, it seems that you might have suffered from viral fever. It is usually accompanied by myalgia i.e. muscle pain. It takes few days for complete recovery.
You can take paracetamol (Dolo that you are taking) for relief from your symptoms.
Drink an electral XXXXXXX in one litre of water daily in addition to other fluid intake.
If not already taking, add a Vitamin B and C supplement.
Include fresh fruits in your diet and take proper rest for few days.
I would also suggest to repeat following investigations :-
1. Hb, TLC, DLC
2. Platelet count
3. GBP
4. LFT
5. Urine examination (Routine/Microscopic)
Also get yourself clinically examined by your doctor.
Further medical management can be planned according to the reports of the above mentioned investigations and clinical evaluation done by your doctor.
