Question: My son diagnoaed for typhoid in 19 XXXXXXX to 5 feb medication done.since last two day again suffering from high fewer & chilling pltelet count reduced to 86k inj for monocef1000 mg prescribed by dr.for 5 day is it correct
Brief Answer:
Typhoid fever
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I admire your positive outlook and congratulate you for the attitude.
Now I guess your son had Typhoid fever from 19th jan-5th feb and again he is suffering from fever for which he has been given medication Monocef IV
There are lots of pathological causes responsible for fever
However, let me give my opinion here.
“As” per your history I may say that the drug which he has been given is a good antibiotic. So complete course. Do a malaria test by thick and rapid card test. Record body temperature every 6 hours .Check motion if it looses or not.
For this you need expert's guidance by your treating doctors
Hope this helps.

Sir,As per blood test test pletlet count reduced to 0.82 lac report attached whether it is dengue fewer? because fewer continue 102-104°F & shivering & chilling persist.Which type of food given to enhance the platelet count?
Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hi, as per your report it is showing widal positive and other blood reports are normal. So now he is advised a higher antibiotics so nothing to be worried it will cover both gram negative and gram positive bacteria. I want to clarify regarding low platelet count, and low platelet count with associated fever indicates many viral, typhoid and protozoa infection like malaria. So without further testing we can not confirm dengue as he has already taken antibiotics so no chance of complication at all. Tell your doctor to prescribe (domperidone + paracetamol) for fever and vomit. "As" he has fever give liquid diet. In your test report you have missed one test that is malaria so do it today. Take rest and nothing to be worried at all.
Thanks,
