Suggest Treatment For High Fever With Headache
Question: My daughter (19 years) developed high fever (100+) with headache on Sunday 2am. with crocin advance this went away. came back around 6pm Sunday with headache, gave crocin advance. fever went away with heavy perspiration. Today morning around 2am again with heavy hivering, fever touched 104, gave Crocin advance. Fever did not recede till 1 hour so gave Meftal-500. Fever reduced around 5am and is not there now.
I will go for blood tests and planning to do CBC count, Malaria and dengue test.
1. Is it necessary to wait till fever comes to do the blood test?
2. What do I do in between till the results come in(it will come in the night by 8pm if tests done by 12pm)? Any other medicines besides Crocin?

Brief answer...wait for the blood reports
Deteailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
You must wait for the blood reports to come. Till then give her Crocin for fever or bodyache or headache.
Specific and proper medicine can be started only after finding the cause.
Just relax and wait.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

DO I have to wait till the fever comes to take the blood test or I can do it now also?
Hello,
You must go for tests now and in addition get her urine also tested for microscopy to look for urine infection which is very common in females.
Thanks

Hello,
As such reports look normal and there is nothing found in these tests. There is no requirement of any specific medicines as such. for headache she can continue to take Crocin. as far as gum bleeding and swelling is concerned ,it must be shown to a dentist and seek his opinion as it may be causing fever.
Just wait and watch. In case fever returns we would be investigated her further.
Thanks
