This stopped last week wed. But his appetite has gone down and from yesterday he's only vomitting if he takes anything and has now stopped eating and water intake is also forceful. Doctor has asked to given lanzol junior twice a day. Pls suggest
Brief Answer:
He is recovering - don't worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi...when recovering form any illness - it is quite common for kids to have these symptoms of loss of appetite and liking of food. This is called convalescence period.
What your doctors has suggested is right. Only thing is you need to give some time for your son to recover from this period.
If he is active otherwise, no need to worry about food intake.
If he is vomiting you can add Suspension Domstal on doctor's prescription thrice a day - 30 minutes before food.

Thanks doctor. My son still is having issues in eating and he has about 99.5 fever. I have given him calpol post which it comes down for sometime. Doctor has asked to continue with lanzol which I am mixing in pediasure and giving since he gags even if I bring a spoon near his mouth. He puked all water n milk in morning when I gave calpol when I tried to give him few spoons of XXXXXXX His body remains hot at stomach and forehead and thermometer shows normal temperature. Pls suggest.
Brief Answer:
Looks like viral illness - Do not worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi...being hot at tummy and forehead is quite common even though the temperature is normal.
This is because the blood supply to the skin is more in these areas. This need not be treated as fever.
I will suggest you how a viral fever behaves so that you will be more relieved.
Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.
I wish your kid a speedy recovery. If you need any future medical consultation and suggestions, I will be glad to help. You can approach me at the following link. Please find the link below -

Thank you doctor. That was helpful. My doctor has asked to give him ondem MD thrice a day before meals for vomitting apart from lanzol junior. I wanted to check with you if lanzol can be mixed with pediasure and given as he is not taking it directly and vomits. I tried giving with mixed fruit juice but it was bitter. Pls advise.
Brief Answer:
You can mix it in pediasure
Detailed Answer:
Hi....coming to your queries -
You can mix it in Pediasure. Junior Lanzol works best on empty stomach. But when the kid's vomiting, better it goes in someway.
His vomiting and nausea will settle in 48 hours after the drugs.... Don't worry.
