Brief Answer: crocin 6th hourly, tepid sponging. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. You can give crocin every 6th hourly depending on the presence of fever. And if there is high grade fever you can give Meftal as prescribed by your Pediatrician. And you can tepid sponging with lukewarm water after giving fever medication if there is high fever. And take him for follow up with your Pediatrician if the fever doesn't subside within 48 to 72 hours of antibiotic or any new issues arise such as decreased activity, dehydration or respiratory difficulty. Hope I have answered your query, if you have any clarification please let me know. Regards.

Respected Doctor Thanks for your advise. Now my son is better.Got him checked with the pediatrician yesterday.he confirmed that it's throat congestion and his chest is clear.Since yesterday his fever gap has also increased. My only concern is that due to high level of mucus...he is not able to eat properly.Biggest problem is that he hates eating Augmentin Dds he is throwing after 1 to 1 hrs 15 minutes of eating it. Doctor I wanted to know that how long it takes for antibiotics to absorb in body? And in case it's coming out should I give another dose of antibiotic once he is throwing up or I skip that dose and again give his next dose Need your guidance for the same. Thanking you.

Brief Answer: repeat if vomits with half an hour Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for getting back. If the child throws antibiotic within half an hour of its intake, you can repeat the dose. After this time period if the child vomigs there is no need for repeating. By this time the drug will go into intestines and will get absorbed. Hope I have answered your query, if you have any clarification please let me know. Regards.
