Suggest Treatment For High Phosphorus Content In Body
Question: SINCE I HAVE A CONSISTENT PHOSPHORUS PROBLEM, WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR IN LABELS???
Brief Answer:
Labels listed, CKD, phosphorus binders
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
In addition to this query, I read your previous questions based on which I concluded that you have had a history of CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease ) and have had dialysis done. A low phosphorus diet along with a reducing agent like sevelamer would go along way in keeping the levels in range. Phophorus can be present in the following forms in the ingredients/labels. Phosphoric acid, Pyrophosphate Sodium, tripolyphosphate, Sodium polyphosphate. So you should look for these ingredients and try to minimize the use of such products.
Let me know if you have any query
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
