Need some further details regarding..
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX welcome to HCM..
I've gone through your query and understand your concern..
Now before gong any further, I need some details regarding your spouse so that the exact nature of the condition can be determined..
What's his age ? what does he feel ? does he feel any particular problem which made you to measure the pulse rate ?
Since when is he having this high pulse rate ? Is it continuously in the higher range or is it coming down also ?
How are you measuring this ? by machine/manually ? if it's measured by machine, can you please let me know is it done at home or at any healthcare facility ?
Does he have any past/present medical/surgical ailments ?
Is he on any particular medication for any reason ?
Any other problem apart from this (any fever, pain, anxiety, tiredness, breathing difficulty, excessive sweating) ?
Has he ever been checked by any physician as a part of routine physical check-up/ever underwent for any preventive healthcare check up ? if yes, then how're the reports ?
Now consequences are several and they vary from person to person, but to comment on that, one needs to first diagnose the exact nature of the ailment or the pathological entity, so please take your time and answer all those queries so that I can guide you better..
Awaiting your response..
Take Care
Kind Regards

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear, Welcome back..
Thanks for following up, I certainly understand your concern..
Sorry for the delay in my response due to my work schedule..
Yes, any kind of stressful situation causes the body metabolism higher with increase in stress hormonal level (also known as the fright-flight and fight response), it's a normal physiological response which is seen in every healthy individual..
Acidity, if not controlled and properly treated can certainly precipitate the whole scenario , making her more uncomfortable thus creating more anxiety over a period of time, resulting in round the clock elevated heart rate(she can take Tab PANTOPRAZOLE 40 mg ONCE daily in empty stomach, 15-20 min before breakfast for the time being, it'll provide symptomatic relief)..
Another important factor is being too much concerned regarding one's own heartbeat, which again releases the stress hormones causing faster heart rate..
All of these above situations are physiological and can be easily treated after a complete physical check-up by an Internal Medicine Specialist along with few investigations (i.e. 12 lead ECG, CBC, Thyroid profile, serum electrolytes and some more as per the clinical findings)..
It's good that her previous investigations were good but at present getting these investigations as well as clinical evaluation done is important as these will clearly differentiate between the normal physiological response as well as any underlying pathological condition..
I hope you've understood my advice, please let me know if you have any queries, I'll be glad to clarify..
Take Care
Kind Regards
