Question: I have left hip bursitis and discomfort in the muscles of right hip. I got the MRI of both hip which showed i have bursitis in left and MRI came out clean for right hip.

Lately went ahead for neck and lumbar spine xrays.. detected there is straightening of normal cervical lordosis. Mild anterolisthesis of C6 and C7. there is mild degenerative disc disease of C4-C5.

Lumbar spine.. mild dextroconvex curvature.

Wanted to find out can these be the reasons for my hip troubles.

Brief Answer:
Lumbar spine changes can affect hip joint.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The cervical spine changes that you have are mild degenerative changes of spine and cervical lordosis can cause a pain in neck upper back and shoulders. it will not affect the hips.
The mild dextroconvex curvature of lumbar spine can cause an extra stress on the right hip joint due to the posture and can cause a mild pain in the joint.
The bursitis of left hip itself can cause a change in the posture and weight bearing of the legs that can add to the stress on the right hip causing stiff muscles and pain.
Proper physiotherapy can help you to a large extent.
I hope this answers your query.
