Suggest Treatment For Hip Osteoarthritis

Posted on Thu, 3 Nov 2016
Question: About a month ago I started experiencing pain in my left hip and also my leg and back. An X-ray revealed that I had very little cartilage left in my left hip and my right hip was starting to deteriorate. Both hips have a bone spur. I do not have pain in my right hip. Of course all of this came as a shock as I am only 50.
Initially after the diagnosis I could still get around without too much pain, sometimes a limp. Eleven days ago I received a cortisone shot. I felt pretty good the first couple of days but the last week has been unbearable. Every step shoots a pain level of about 8 or 9. I don't want to leave the house because any step could make me collapse. I can only function in the house if I'm crawling or have taken a double dose of norco. I try not to do that very often. My life has come to an abrupt halt. Why is this happening?

It seems that you are suffering from osteoarthritis of the hip joint also called wear and tear arthritis its common condition a degenerative type of arthritis that many people often develop in 50 yrs of age or older though it may occur in young people too. In this disease the cartilage gradually wears away with time becomes frayed and rough and the joint space is reduced between the bones. This results in bone rubbing on bone and damage bone may grow outward to form bony spurs called osteophytes, pain develops slowly and worsens over time. It has no specific cause but there are many factors like increasing age, family history, previous injury, obesity, improper formation of the hip joint lat birth. Symptom typically include pain in groin or thigh that radiates to buttock or knee pain flares up with activity, stiffnes locking or sticking of joint etc.
There is no cure for osteoarthritis treatment options help relieve pain and improve mobility. Early treatment is Non surgical treatment includes
