Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern about skin problem.

Please upload a photo of yours as this would be help me better.

Common causes for hyperpigmentation over face
1. Melasma.
2. Sun damage.
3. Cosmetic use.
4. Vitamin deficiency.
5. Post acne hyperpigmentation.

It is always important to prevent sun exposure. Use a good sunscreen at day time. Repeat it every two to three hours if you are staying outside too long.

Avoid use of all cosmetics as far as possible. It is also better if you avoid parlour treatments.

If you were my patient then I would have advised you to apply Melaglow cream at day time and Hydrocortisone cream at night. Use Hydrocortisone cream for 1 to 2 weeks only and then continue with Melaglow.

I will also advise you to go for treatment of acne if you have any. Continue with antioxidant tablets for 3 months or so.

In case if there is still no response then you need to go for chemical peeling under the guidance of a dermatologist.

I hope this will help you. In case of any concerns I will be happy to help you. Take care.

Brief Answer:
side effects only after prolonged use.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up and sorry for late reply.

Since hydrocortisone is a steroid cream it has all side effects of a topical steroid. You can find details on net.

However using it for a limited period of time will produce quick response. Also side effects of steroid creams occur only when they are applied for a longer duration of time more than a month or so.Using it for one to two weeks will not have any side effects.

Hope this will help you.Take care.
