Suggest Treatment For Hyper Pigmentation On Skin
I am 27 Years Old. Few years back i was suffering from pigmentation. there was dark spot on my skin ( Forehead, cheeks etc. ). so doctors has suggested me to use skinlite cream in the night. and it is so helpful to reduce pigmentation. but once i avoid to use, my skin again turns into black. then again i need to apply skinlite to reduce blackness. my one more doctor advice me to use " kojivit or clearz plus " now. is this helpful to use now ??? and one more important thing which soap is helpful for my skin ??
Kindly revert......
Soap is not good for skin. Skinlite may be helpful if continued
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Skinlite contains mild steroids which help in reducing skin pigmentation. The problem may recurr after you stop it. Before commenting upon whether Skinlite needs to keep continuing it, I would strongly insist that you post a photograph so that it would be easier to diagnose. It is only based on this diagnosis that the treatment can be effectively administered.
Both Kojivit and Clearz Plus contain kojic acid which is thought to improve skin colour. But there is no documented evidence that it actually works. However, here should be no problem if you use them. Otherwise, I would not recommend using soap. Just use plain water to wash your face.
Hope that helps.

Do not use Skinlite anymore. Use antifungals.

Thanks for writing back.
I have gone through the image and it seems to me that you are suffering from seborrhoeic dermatitis which is basically a fungal infection. Mild steroids like Skinlite make it go away fast but since they depress the immunity they are also responsible for the patches returning fast. Here is what you should do:
1. STOP using Skinlite.
2. Use Dove soap for your skin. I would not comment on the use of Kojic acid containing soaps and I have doubts whether they would be effective. No need to use face wash.
3. Use Ketoconazole shampoo like Nizoral to wash your hair thrice a week for two weeks. Make the foam trickle over to your face before you wash it off.
4. Use Candid (clotrimazole) lotion topically over the affected areas.
5. Avoid direct sunlight if possible. Any sunscreen can be used.
I think that you should get results. Contact me back after 2-4 weeks and report the situation if required and I would be happy to help you further.
Hope that clarifies your queries.
