Suggest Treatment For Hypertension While On Nyquil
Question: My husbands blood pressure has went up today. 212/80. He has been taking a few doses of Nyquil for a sore throat and sinus. He takes 2 BP pills. one at night and one in the morning. his blood pressure is normally 155-175. But just in the last month the Dr took him off his water pill he had been taking and added the second BP pill. Is it ok to ad the water pill to try and keep his BP from going any higher?

In this case, I would normally recommend addition of a third anti-hypertensive, to achieve the aimed figures of the blood pressure. Consult your husband's cardiologist about this possibility.
