Suggest Treatment For Hypotension
Question: I am a high BP patient and taking telpress ct 40/12.5 since last 4 years. I am taking BP medicines since last 8 years regurarly, I used to drink as well once in a weekend. I have noticed since last few days that my BP has been dropped and its coming low so i have reduced the tablet to half. But since last week, i have noticed that my BP is significantly low hence i have stopped taking BP medicines last 2 days. One thing, i wanted to mention that i have been infected with the prostate infection since 3 months and i am on regularly on antibiotics. Since last week, I have taken amikacine injections and currently on tazobactam 4.5 g which i am taking last 6 days. please suggest, what should i do in this case?
Just to mentioned that since i am infected with prostaritis since 3 months, i have stopped drinking and doing regular walks for 2 hours daily. I vegetarian and on not eating much oil and salt.

Brief Answer:
Keep watch on BP

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
Your BP may be dropping due to many factors like stopping alcohol, doing regular walk and control of infection with antibiotics. Do avoid prolonged antibiotic use as they can have side effects.
There is no need to take BP lowering medicines if BP is low. Keep a regular watch on BP. If it goes higher than 150/90 then restart the medicine. If it goes less than 100/70, then increase salt intake in diet/take lemonade.
Hope it helps.
