Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism And PCOS

1. I am not sure but even though i do my regular workouts, and have very heatlhy diet i am putting weight . I have put on 3-4 kgs in last 3 months.
2. I use to have painfull periods right from begining but it was 100% regular which means if it started this month on 9th then next month it will start on 9th only. But off my dates are varying ... last month i had my periods on 12th and this month it was on 7th.. This is not continous sometimes its 28 days cycle and sometimes its 25 days.. i hope everything is ok ..
Will this lead to problem in pregnancy? Is my Thyroid responsible for me not getting pregnant?
Or Is both PCOS and Thyroid both effecting my fertility?
I am really tensed as the age is moving ...
Please guide me ..
Thyroid and PCOS not affecting fertility in you
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I read your query and I understand your concerns.
Following is my reply
1. You have not mentioned your TSH levels. I guess it may not be very high as you are taking 25 to 50 mcg of thyronorm only. I hope it is controlled with this medicine dosage.
2. Your weight gain may not be due to hypothyroidism if itbis adequately controlled.
3. Weight gain is likely due to excess diet and less excercise. You need to cut more calories and excercise more.
4. PCOS is the probable reason for the varying irregular cycles in you. But PCOS is not the reason for infertility. Majority women with PCOS do conceive.
5. As per your history thyroid and PCOS are not reasons for infertility.
6. You need to get HSG test for your self to assess patency of fallopian tubes.
7. Send me report of semen analysis of your husband if done.

Currently my Thyroid is under control. Also I don't know why I m putting on weight. I exercise everyday . I workout for 1 hr in Gym and breakfast and lunch are very healthy as specified by my dietician. Also I will get my XXXXXXX test done soon. Doctor I can't understand how I got this Thyroid when no one in my family ever had it. Yes it's prevalent in my inlaws family but ...no one in my family.
Age is important
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Your all attached reports are normal. Nothing to worry.
Your husband's semen analysis is excellent.
When age advances weight loss becomes difficult due to decreased metabolic rate.
You need to reduce calorie intake further with dietician help and Excercise but longer. That's only solution. Avoid eating sweets or binge eating.
Thyroid need not be familial. It can occur in anyone. Simple medicines control it effectively.
Since you are 32 years I suggest you go ahead with IUI (intrauterine insemination) procedure. Age is most important criteria

Thanks for replying it.
Just wanted to check if I need to go for HSG test first or do IUI treatment. ..
Is it safe? I hope there will not be any other issues. .. I m really tensed.
Thanks
