Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism And Anxiety

Her whole body hurts . She is weak and extremely fatigued. I need help what do I do
Consult endocrinologist for multiple endocrine syndrome evaluation & workup
Detailed Answer:
Hi, XXXX, hypothyroidism generally is associated with weight gain , sluggishness, increased sleep , constipation. Anxiety and hypotension (BP-80/55) doesn't occur in isolated hypothyroidism. I also want clarification regarding weight if it is in kg or pound. You have to get her evaluated by an endocrinologist as low weight, hypotension and anxiety may be related to some endocrinal syndrome or central cause linked to pituitary gland. You can post again with actual levels of T3 ,T4 and TSH (With lab cut off values) and dose of levothyoxine. Sometimes mild increase in TSH may not be requiring much doses of thyroxine and so anxiety may be drug related. But, definitely low blood pressure is to be evaluated.
Hoping for good health of your daughter.
reply back as soon as possible.
Thanks

Her weight is pounds. Her Levothyroxine is 50 mg once per day. Can I continue

Sit down. Thank you for any help
consult endocrinologist or medicine expert
Detailed Answer:
hello XXXX, the weight is OK according to BMI(18.7). Also 50 microgram of thyroxine is not much and will not lead to anxiety. Her hip pain in presence of infection may be septic arthritis or reactive arthritis. But looking overall clinical condition I will advice you to consult an endocrinologist or medicine doctor to investigate properly. Blood reports for cortisol, FSH, LH, calcium , phosphate, alkaline phosphate, vit D3 levels, Paratharmone may be required.
Yes she can use the generic for the toe infection.
Better to consult a near by expert doctor who can examine her and advice appropriately about the endocrine tests .
Hope your daughter recovers early.
you can contact me on this forum in future also.
Thanks
