Suggest Treatment For Idiopathic Thromboplebitis
As discussed in details below.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/38 - thick line protruding on the edge of left areola - there are like pebbles on it - tender - recheck this morning - color is like vein (green) - wants to what it is...
My thought on reading your history and seeing the photos:
- There is a condition called idiopathic thromboplebitis. There is inflammation of the vein for no obvious known region hence the treatment is empirical in the for of anti-inflammatory medicines. Appears lie a cord to the palpating finger.
- Enlarged sub-areolar glands may present like this.
- Possibility of the underlying pathology like malignancy should be ,ruled out.
I would advise you the following:
- Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon/Onco-Surgeon for actual clinical examination of the lesions, the breasts, axillae and neck and general examination so that further proper tests can be advised.
- Ultrasonography of the breasts and axillae and neck
- Mammogram
- FNAC and further studies as required to get a confirmed diagnosis and plan a proper treatment.
I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
