Hello and thank you for your question.
Impetigo is an infection. If it is in a very small area with just a few spots then it can be treated with topical antibiotic ointments like mupirocin for five days.
If it is more widespread then oral antibiotics like dicloxacillin or cephalexin are give for 7 days.
