Suggest Treatment For Incomplete Emptying Of The Bladder

Question: two months ago I had what we thought was a bladder/urinary infection. took the antibiotics and the main symtem went away. since then there has been nigles. Now I am feeling like urinating, pass a little fluid then pass a great deal of wind. Then a big pee followed by a small amount of wind/foam. No sighn of blood. Symptems reoccour every 24 hours. three years ago I had a benighn prostrate opp. Very successful. Regards XXXXXXX

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have obstructive voiding symptoms like incomplete emptying of bladder and UTI 3 years after having undergone surgery for enlarged prostate .

The symptoms that you are mostly due to post TURP Bladder Neck stenosis that is known and common to develop after endoscopic surgery (TURP) for removal of enlarged prostate .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Uroflowmetry
5) Endoscopic examination of urethral passage and bladder (Cystoscopy).

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.If needed and proved to be bladder neck stenosis he may do endoscopic incision of stenosed bladder neck (BNI) during same sitting .
