Suggest Treatment For Increase Of Eye Power

Question: I AM HAVING SPHERICAL POWER OF -1.5 IN BOTH EYES. I GOT TESTS DONE AGAIN AND NOW THERE IS ADDITIONAL -0.5 CYLINDRICAL IN BOTH EYES , IN RE IT IS WITH 180 DEGREE AXIS & IN LE IT IS WITH 70 DEGREE AXIS. I USED TO WEAR CONTACTS PREVIOUSLY BUT THEY SAY TILL -0.5 CYLINDRICAL THERE ARE NO CONTACTS AVAILABLE. FURTHER THEN I MADE NEW GLASSES WITH CYLINDRICAL POWER BUT AS I WAS USED TO LENSES DIDNOT GOT COMFORT IN GLASSSES. FURTHER NOW WHEN I AM WEARING DAILY DISPOSABLE LENSES FOR -1.5 I AM NOT SO COMFORTABLE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?? WHAT LENSE SHOULD I WEAR. IS THERE ANYTHING TO WORRY THAT POWER WOULD INCREASE.

It is confirmed that you have -1.5 spherical in both eyes. What made you to go for second test? I think it is clarity of vision and you feel better with cylinder then you have to go for the change. Most important is your acceptance. In my opinion if you feel comfortable with previous contact lens of-1.5 then you should continue with it. Your age is 32 . The power will not increase. It Is stabilized.No need to worry for increase of power. Even you can go for refractive surgery.

SIR I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS IN READING SIGNBORADS ETC WHILE DRIVING OR SMALL LETTERS, THEN I WENT FOR TESTS. ACTUALLY FOR 2 YEARS I AM HAVING CYLINDRICAL BUT WAS NOT USING THAT, THEN I WENT FOR TESTS AGAIN AND THIS TIME THEY TOLD THAT SOME DEGREE OF AXIS HAS CHANGED BUT CYLINDRICAL POWER IS -0.50 ONLY. PREVIOULSY 2 YEARS BACK IN BOTH EYES CYLINDRICAL POWER WAS -0.50 WITH 180 DEGREE AXIS. I AM ABOUT 90% COMFORTABLE IN IN LENSES AS SUGGEST BY YOU BUT WHAT ABOUT GLASSES. WHEN I USE GLASSES WITH CYLINDRICAL POWER IT DOESNOT SUIT ME... IN MY NEXT FOLLOWUO I WILL SCAN YOU THE PRESCRIPTION TOMORROW.

If latest they have confirmed cylindrical problem you can use the specs constantly itmaytake time to adjust or accommodate with cylindrical power If you are not satisfied with cylindrical power then go for second opinion by another doctor Your comfort and acceptance is more important

ok sir thanks. i am based in XXXXXXX and which one do you suggest. SHould i go to VASAN EYE CARE or these optical stores again!!
