Brief Answer:
Oral antibiotics with sterile dressing.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.

I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

It appears you had a dry lip or ruptured boil, with secondary infection.

If you were my patient, i would suggest:

a. Antiseptic washing and sterile dressing (band aid).
b. Keep area clean.
c. Oral amoxycillin and clavulonic acid - if not allergic to pencillin. Otherwise oral cephalexin.
d. Complete the course of antibiotics. You need to take prescription from your doctor. Avoid touching the wound.
e. If you are diabetic, control of blood glucose within normal range is essential for healing to occur faster. Healing might take around 5-7 days, depending on size of wound. Local neosporin can be used.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
