Suggest Treatment For Infected Wound
Question: I think I have an infected cut, how do you tell?
Brief Answer:
Pain, swelling, tenderness and warmness are typical symptoms of infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Can you please attach a picture of it so I can give more precise answer?
When wound is infected surrounding tissues get swollen, tender and warm. The pain gets more intense if the affected area is low (if its hand, putting it down can cause throbbing pain).
Fever and shivers can be also present especially if there is a pus in a wound.
Infected wound should be opened and washed with antiseptic agents. Antibiotic treatment might be necessary.
This is the best answer I can give not being able to see it.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Here is a photo. Cut is feeling better. Any suggestions on how to help it heal?
Brief Answer:
There is no infection. Just keep it clean.
Detailed Answer:
It looks good and is not infected for sure. Leaving it alone is the best you can do. Water with soap is fine to keep it clean.
