Suggest Treatment For Infertility While Trying To Conceive

Question: Hi am ttc from the last 3 months.my last period was on 4thFeb and underwent a constant scan untill 19th Feb where doctor confirmed that I ovulated on 18th Feb. My doctor had inceased my Folic acid dose to 5mg and also she asked me to take duphastone 10mg from 20th Feb onwards. Also I am on medication for hyerthyroidism since 8thFeb for which am taking Euthyrox 50 mcg.
For the day after ovulation, I am experiencing lower back pain (on and off) and breast heavyness. is its because of duphastone or something else.
Also , please let me know if I need to do anything else to get pregnant faster. My periods are quite regular and there has been no problems in past regarding chemical pregnany/miscarriage or so.

Hi

I understand your concerns about Breast heaviness and backpain.

You have guessed it right. These symptoms are due to progesterone hormone by tablet Duphaston. This is normal and dont worry about it.

You dont need additional treatment. You are on right treatment of follicular growth scan.

If possible get HSG (Hysterosalpingography) for yourself to test patency of fallopian tubes and also get semen analysis done for husband.

Over All you stand good chances of getting pregnant.

Hi Doctor,
Thanks for the response.I will schedule an appointment with the doctor for the test recommended by you.

During this last cycle, we have been "together" during the peak fertile period. Could you please confirm how soon pregnancy symptoms start to appear after ovulation.

I still hope that I will get a +ve test this cycle because all necessary measures were taken regarding thyroid control and folic acid. Since all these symptoms are also related to early pregnancy I am very confused and desperate.

Pregnancy symptoms are variable and occur after a month generally. But they are not reliable indicators of pregnancy.
