Suggest Treatment For Infertility

Question: Hi doc.. Good afternoon. My LMP was on 22 May 2016. My periods start between 28-30 days. On day 29th ( 19th June) checked home pregnancy test it shows positive. But after 3 days which is today (22nd June) it showed a very faint line. I got really worried, visited the doctor today, doctor suggested me to take folic acid once and susten 200 twice a day orally.

We are trying since past 2 years and I have infertility issues. Facing lot of difficulty. Pls tell what it could be and is there any chance I can hold this and is it positive case.

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Urine pregnancy test positive means that the pregnancy is definitely there.
Faint positive line after a proper test can be due to ectopic pregnancy or due to faulty pregnancy kit.
I will suggest you to get a transvaginal ultrasound after one week to confirm the diagnosis.
In the meantime, you should continue with the treatment advised by your doctor.

Hi Doc, what's is ectopic pregnancy ? Is there any other method or medicine it will help me to hold my pregnancy. I have used the same pregnancy kit for both the time on day 29 and on day 32.

Can ectopic pregnancy will have a chance to be positive? When should I try my next pregnancy test and can susten 200 help me holding my pregnancy? Please reply on all my points doc.

Hi dear,
Ectopic pregnancy is the abnormal pregnancy which is not located in uterus, rather in fallopian tubes or ovaries.
Pregnancy test is positive in ectopic pregnancy also.
There is no need to repeat the urine pregnancy test, rather you should continue take Susten and get a transvaginal ultrasound after one week to confirm the diagnosis.

Hi doc.. My HCG level is 53.4 on 4 weeks 4 days. I am really worried. What do you suggest on this. Is there any positive chance I have. Doc asked me to do HCG test again on 4 weeks 6 days. What should be my level now. Is susten 200 helps increasing HCG level. Is there anything I can do to increase my HCG level. Please advise. Regards

repeat hCG levels after 48 hours

Hi dear,
The levels of beta hCG is definitely low for a 4 weeks gestational age.
If the levels do not increase by more than double in 48 hours, then chances of ectopic pregnancy are there.
If the levels decrease than the original levels, then it is an abortion.
Susten only supports the pregnancy, however it has no role in increasing the hCG levels.
Nothing can be do to increase the hCG levels.
