Suggest Treatment For Infestation Of Entamoeba Gingivalis?
Scaling, periodontist, medication.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
As far as the entameba gingivalis is concerned, most of the time it will not harm. But there are reported cases of systemic involvement. Nothing to be panic, since it is most commonly seen in the oral cavity particularly in the deposits over the teeth due to poor oral hygiene.
You need to consult a periodontist and get the teeth cleaned and maintain oral hygiene thereafter by following regular brushing and use of mouth wash. The entameba gingivalis may be superimposed with other bacterial infection that may result in lymph node enlargement and pain in the gums.
This can be treated with a course of antibiotics like metronidazole. The entamoeba gingivalis can be treated by amoebicidal agents like iodoquinol or poromycin.
So consult a general physician and get yourself completely evaluated to rule out any systemic involvement.
I hope my answer will help you, take care. If any queries are there reply me back.
