Suggest Treatment For Inflamed Corn On Foot
Now 5-6 days has passed, inflammation/pain has decreased but we need to treat her to get her complete relieve. Please advice next course of treatment.
You can get it surgically removed if it is painful.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Corns are a common problem in all age groups.
Commonest treatment offered is corn caps and sometimes it removes the corns if they are superficial. If they done get rid of it then the Dermatologists do pairing in which the give the caps and then after a few days when the corn becomes soft enough they scrape it with a fine blade and it is a painless procedure. In 2 -4 sittings the corn is removed.
But the final treatment if all this does not help is Surgical removal of the corn in which we give local anesthesia with a small injection to make the area numb and in a painless manner remove the corn with its root. This is the most radical and most successful treatment I would say. But only if all other means have failed.
Therefore, I suggest that if there is a lot of pain and other means are not helping then you should seek a Surgeon who can help you.

Last time we used salicylic acid just next day of corn tape thats why pain was increased
Currently there s no pain in normall walking but when unneven surface then it feelsi
Try corn caps if the pain is not too much.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Good to hear from you.
If there is no pain presently on normal walking then you should continue with the corn caps for 5 to 7 days even if they need to be changed due to getting wet.
You should then also ask your Dermatologist for the pairing procedure if it can be done. That would be an easier way of getting it resolved than surgery.
However, if at any time your wife feels she needs to get rid of it then Surgery would be the answer.
I have already told you the details of surgery. After the surgery, she would require a few days of rest to not let the foot bear weight so that healing can occur. Other than that, it is completely safe and there are hardly any chances of recurrence in Surgery.
Take care and feel free for to enquire further if need be.
