Suggest Treatment For Inflammation In The Nose, Throat, Ear And Tongue
Probably suffering from inflammation in the nose, throat, ear and tongue
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
thank you for posting your query on health care magic.
Looking at your symptoms you are probably suffering from inflammation in the nose, throat, ear and tongue. Might be a viral infection. It would have started with one part like nose or throat and then spread to other parts. This inflammation would result in inflammation of the neck lymph node glands resulting in neck pain.
You may find relief by taking the following medicines:
Oral decongestant like Phenylephrine and Nasal decongestant drops like Xylometazoline (take decongestant only if you are not suffering from hypertension, heart disease, kidney or urinary problems, high pressure in the eyes-Glaucoma),
Antihistaminic like Cetrizine,
Analgesic and anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen,
Antacid like Rantac and
a Multivitamin tablet especially containing Iron,Vitamin B complex and Vitamin C.
Also do warm saline gargles. Do steam inhalation. Drink lots of fluids (warm). Avoid cold, very sweet, oily food, milk and milk products as they increase mucus production. Also avoid very hot and spicy food as they will cause irritation in the inflamed tongue. Avoid dust, smoke and other pollutants.
After taking the above measures,if your symptoms are not improving after around two days,or if you suffer from symptoms like High grade fever(more than 101 degree fahrenheit), pus discharge from nose, Severe pain in the throat leading to difficulty in swallowing, etc suggestive of a bacterial infection, then it would be advisable to start oral Antibiotics like Amoxycillin-Clavulanic acid combination antibiotic.
Hope this answers your question. I would be happy to answer you if you have any follow-up questions. Take care.
