Brief Answer:
Cefpodoxime is a good Antibiotic.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have seen many cases of Ingrowing toe nail with infection causing redness and pouring pus.
Soaking will reduce swelling and redness.
I prefer to remove the nail completely as it is the causative agent.I remove half the nail if there is no infection. The results were good.
As the nail grows inwards triggering pain, infection and swelling,it has to be dealt initially.Once the nail is removed, infection and swelling will be controlled.
Nothing to worry.
Please consult a general surgeon, get her examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish her good health and speedy recovery.
