Brief Answer:
Surgery vs Conservative management

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

For metatarsal bone foot fracture, an Xray will show if there is any other associated injury as well and if the fracture can be treated conservatively or if it needs surgery.

Commonly 5th metatarsal Base fracture or XXXXXXX gave may be treated conservatively in a cast boot.

It would be helpful if you could upload the Xray.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Regards,

Dr. Aashish Raghu
