Suggest Treatment For Injury On The Lip Of A Child
Question: my son age is 1.9 years. his lip got small injury by blade unfortunately and there was little high bleeding 10 hours back. he is taking food as usual. i think no chance to apply oilment due to injury on the lip. can I put band aid? is there any thing else to apply for fast recovery ?

Is there any separation of the edges at the moment or if he cries or laughs?
In a child of his age, the healing of the wound is very fast, almost seals within 4 hours and if the edges are not separated intentionally or during any act or can be approximated as by a small strip like band aid, the healing exceptionally good .
So do not disturb the wound at all.

after that incident twice got small bleeding when he bite on the wound. kindly refer the attachment.

Such wounds actually heal very fast.
There is no sign of infection at the moment. If there is development of edema, pus formation or redness, get started on antibiotic for a few days by getting a prescription of your Doctor/Pediatrician.
