Hello and welcome,

Kombucha can get contaminated with microorganisms if it isn't prepared correctly (and sometimes even if it is!) and cayenne can be directly irritating.

I recommend trying Pepto Bismol to try to settle your intestinal tract and also as the bismuth in it has some antibacterial and antibacterial toxin properties to it.

It is ok to not eat anything for a day and as you are still having waves of pain, it is best to rest your GI tract. But you do need to stay hydrated. Sips of liquid as tolerated is best rather than drinking down a large amount at once.

You can just drink water or (flat) room temperature non-cafffeinated soda such as 7-Up or gingerale. Even better though, especially if you have continued vomiting or if you have diarrhea, would be to have an electrolyte rehydrating solution. I generally recommend coconut water (NOT coconut milk). It has a good balance of electrolytes and also some naturally occurring sugar. I don't think it tastes very good at all though but that may be a matter of opinion.

If you are not able to keep in fluids, then you may need to go in to urgent care or ER where they can assess you for dehydration and give you an IV and an antiemetic.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
