Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Toothache
I was at the dentist just two weeks ago. The x rays were fine. No tooth decay or cavities or anything.
Two days ago I began having an intermittent toothache in one of my front upper teeth. It comes and doesn't really last too long. it doesn't hurt to chew, but if I tap my teeth together, then it hurts for just a little bit.
There is no gum swelling or redness. However, near the very top of the gum area above the tooth, it is painful to the touch. I would only notice this if I pushed down on it.
I'm not sure what to do...
Please, stop manipulating on the dental structures!

Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this dental problem that you have reported. I have reviewed your information and I will say stop getting worried over this. As many times as you touch on this area, the more you traumatise and make it to hurt even more. With a comprehensive dental evaluation including X-rays and no issues identified, there is really no reason to get too worried. Please, stop hurting yourself by constantly provoking the pain through pushing on the tooth. Resist this urge and for sure you would do a lot better.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
I'm worried the tooth may be dying.
NO!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is not dying. If it were, the Xray would have suggested so. Keep me updated with the progress on this.
I wish you well.
