Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Urine Infection

Question: I have had a urine infection on and off for 4 weeks. Just when I think it's better it comes back. What can I do apart from drinking lots of water?
Brief Answer:
Make sure the infection is gone completely
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
Frequent urinary infection is suspicious of diabetes or other conditions that decrease one's immunity. So it would be advisable to check blood sugar if it has not been done recently. Also it may be advisable to have a urine culture done to determine the organism and the antibiotic to which it is most sensitive. Then it can be treated properly and the infection eradicated completely.
Once the eradication is complete, natural substances like Cranberry would helpful in preventing a reinfection.
Best wishes,
