Brief Answer:
Antioxidant and anti inflammatory drugs can be given.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem.

Need to know few things first.
1. Have you undergone bronchoscopy and XXXXXXX (Bronchoalveolar lavage) analysis.
2. Do you have any occupational exposure?
3. Are you having pets at home?
4. Have you ruled out sarcoidosis?

In ILD newer guidelines suggest following medications along with steroids.
1. Antifibrotic (anti TNF alpha) -perfinodone.
2. N -acetyl Cystiene (NAC). It is anti oxidant, anti inflammatory, mucolytic and expectorant.
3. Proton pump inhibitors to control GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) because uncontrolled GERD can worsen ILD.
4. Calcium and multivitamin tablet, to improve the immunity.
So along with steroids, these drugs can be given.
Since all these are prescribed medicines, you need to consult pulmonologist first.

About progression, it is very early to predict its progression. We need to get done repeat CT thorax after 3 months to see its progression.

And with proper treatment, ILD can be completely alright.

I am sure regarding homeopathy. Better to start above mentioned drugs as their role in ILD is proven through large trials.

So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.

Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.

I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
get done bronchoscopy &BAL first.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your follow up question. And thanks for the information.
In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done Bronchoscopy and XXXXXXX analysis.
Because this will be needed in differential diagnosis of your ILD. XXXXXXX analysis will rule out infection, tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, hypersensitive pneumonitis, NSIP etc.
So better to get done bronchoscopy and XXXXXXX analysis.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.

DOCTOR ONE SCHOOL OF THOUGHT SAYS EVEN AFTER DOING THIS WE ARE GOING TO PRESCRIBE ONLY STERIODS. WHY CANT WE NOW STRAIGHTAWAY GO IN FOR STERIODS AND TRY FOR 3 MONTNS AND SEE THE IMPROVEMENTS AND THEN DECIDE TO GO IN FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION OF BRONCHOSCOPY AND XXXXXXX
I AM UNDER CONFUSION. MY WIFE IS UNDER FEAR ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION.
