Brief Answer:
Stem cells cannot be used in this condition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

It seems from the history that your daughter had inward deviation of the left eye which was noticed when she was 9 months old. This condition is called as esotropia.

Since it was associated with poor vision in the left eye, a condition called as ambylopia or lazy eye treatment was done to stimulate the visual development in left eye by suppressing the the normal eye, the right eye in this case by use of atropine and patching the right eye. She has undergone surgery when she was 15 months old. All this treatment which was done was correct.

Now the age of your daughter is 21 months and she is still having squint and it is now outer deviation of the eye called as exotropia.
This can be because of excessive correction of the inward deviation or because of the associated other deviations of the eye.
As the age of your daughter increases this may decrease and it may not require any treatment and if it persists it may require secondary squint surgery later.

The stem cells cannot be used for treatment of this condition. The stem cells can be used for treatment of diseases of the cornea and not for diseases like squint.

If possible do send a photo of both the eyes and the affected eye so that I can answer your question more accurately.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.

now Sir I want to know how we can improve her vision in left eye either by giving her some medicines or by fruits or vegetables or grains or by homeopathic or ayurvedic treatment.

Brief Answer:
Fruits, vegetables...have no role in treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up query.

Fruits and vegetables or homeopathic treatment have no much role in treatment of squint and ambylopia.

She needs to undergo eye examination by a optometrist or a ophthalmologist to find out the cause for decreased vision in her left eye. The next step depends on the underlying cause and correction of this. The usual cause will be a refractive error which has to be corrected by spectacles. Sometimes surgical causes can be present which have to be treated by appropriate surgery.
She also needs to continue the patching right eye to stimulate the development of vision in left eye. This is called as occlusion therapy and is one of the proven and best treatment for ambylopia and this has to be continued until she attains the age of 10-12 years. This has to be slowly tapered by decreasing the number of hours of patching.

she needs to be evaluated and treated under the care of a pediatric ophthalmologist who is well versed with the treatment of ambylopia and squint.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.

I have attached her pics as well as her scanned report of XXXXXXX of refraction can u suggest something by this. Don't u think patching can make her right eye lazy. Atropin can't work better than patching. Like if suppose the vision don't improve by all dis dere is any chances of loss of vision also.

One important question is it possible to change her weak Eye I.e. the left with the perfect vision Eye by surgery.

Brief Answer:
It is not possible to change the whole eye.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

I do not find any reports attached with the question kindly check for the attachments.

The patching of the right eye will not make it lazy as the patching has to be done initially for 5 days for normal eye and 2 days for abnormal eye and this has to be varied by increasing or decreasing the duration of patching depending on the response.
In case of ambylopia there is no risk of loss of vision but the problem is vision may not improve it it not treated within 6 years of life which is the most vital and active period for vision development.

It is not possible to change the whole eye, in case of eye transplantation only the outer part of the eye called as cornea is transplanted and this can be done in case of corneal blindness caused by corneal diseases like corneal opacity.

Hope I have answered your questions and the information is helpful to you.
