Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to worry for major heart related diseases as all recent reports are normal.
GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) is more likely by your description.
GERD is not controlled by only drugs.
Certain lifestyle modifications are also needed.
1. Avoid heavy meals, instead take frequent small meals.
2. Avoid oily, fatty, hot and spicy food.
3. Take high fiber diet more.
4. Go for walking after meals. Don't lie down immediately after eating.
5. Loose weight if he is obese. Quit smoking and alcohol.
6. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
7. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in bed to prevent reflux.
8. Protonix is having plain pantoprazole. Combination of pantoprazole and levosulperide (prokinetic) will help him more. So take this combination twice daily.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your son. Thanks.
