Suggest Treatment For Irregular Menstrual Bleeding

Taken... Please do importance my query...
Withdrawal bleeding. Rare chance of pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:
1) Frequent taking of emergency pill is the main reason of irregular bleeding and period disturbance due to hormonal imbalance.
2) She mostly got withdrawal bleeding on 28 to 29th Nov due to effect of the pill, which was taken on 22nd Nov. Bleeding stopped on 29 Nov due to taking extra dose of pill on that day.
Again she got withdrawal bleeding on 10th Dec due to effect of the pill, taken on 2nd Dec. I suggest her to await for next due date for getting period. In this time, NO pill is to be taken. Otherwise, period date will be disturbed.
3) Pregnancy depends on proper timing of ovulation and unprotected sexual intercourse with ejaculation inside vagina. She took pill each time within first 24 hrs after sexual intimacy (without proper intercourse). Therefore, chance of pregnancy is extremely RARE.
4) Touching each other genitals (penis or vagina) DOESN'T let her pregnant until there is proper sexual intercourse or ejaculation or precum inside vagina. It also depends on her ovulation day.
5) If you want to involve in sexual intimacy or intercourse frequently, then she must take combined oral contraceptive pill regularly instead of taking emergency pill. It will give highest protection and regular period.
Hope, this information is quite helpful to you. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
Wish your good health and practice safe sex in future.

Dr S Patra

Safe sex mostly. Rare chance of pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up query. I understand your concern.
You did mostly SAFE sex according to last period date. As there was NO proper sexual intercourse or ejaculation inside vagina, her chance of pregnancy is extremely RARE. I have already explained that thing. Don't be worried much.
I suggest her to await for next coming period due date as her period is completely messed up due to frequent taking of emergency pill. It should be stopped right now.
One home pregnancy test is advised if she misses her next period. It will help to clear confusion and get relief from mental stress.
Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.
All the best and good luck.

Dr S Patra

Do home pregnancy test after missed or late period.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for query.
She can undergo one home pregnancy test soon after regular missed period or 7 days after missed due date in case of irregular period or taking emergency pill at the starting of her cycle.
Early test may give FALSE result. It is a mandatory test to rule out pregnancy in case of missed or delayed period. It gives relief from mental stress.
Hope, it helps for you. All the best and good luck.
Regards,
Dr S Patra

She is safe after negative test.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for additional query.
Withdrawal bleeding occurs due to sudden intake of high dose progesterone pill (like I-Pill). It is different from normal period.
Frequent intake of emergency pills make difficult to distinguish between them. It makes period irregular. It is also NOT good for her health.
As she gets NEGATIVE pregnancy test today, she is SAFE from pregnancy. Repeat the test after ONE week for confirmation.
All the best and good luck.
Regards,
Dr S Patra

Wait another one week for pregnancy test.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for query.
I suggest her to await another ONE week as she got bleeding around 10th & 11th Dec. She will probably get period around that time in this month.
Do one home pregnancy test after 10th January if she misses her period date.
Hope, it helps to understand properly. All the best.
Regards,
Dr S Patra

Don't be worried. Await another 1 week.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up query.
I suggest her to await another few days (5 to 7 days) to get period naturally. Don't be worried as she gets negative result today. You should count her period date from Dec 11 and NOT from original date.
Mental stress and hormonal imbalance are the main reasons of delayed period. She must avoid stress by regular meditation. Maintain genital hygiene properly.
If she doesn't get her period within this week, you should revert back to me for next management.
Wish her good health and all the best.
Regards,
Dr S Patra

She is safe. MALA-D is required for future protection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up query.
1) As she has gotten her period on 16th XXXXXXX there is NO chance of pregnancy and she is completely SAFE. Therefore, you wouldn't be worried about that.
2) MALA-D is a REGULAR combined contraceptive pill and prescribed for future protection against unwanted pregnancy as you involved in sexual intercourse FREQUENTLY. In that case, emergency pill is NOT the best option.
Regular pill gives highest protection (more than 99%) after 1-month used and REGULAR monthly period.
Hope, it helps for you to understand properly. Good luck.
Regards,
Dr S Patra

Detailed Answer:
