Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods Along With Multiple Cysts In Both Ovaries
Question: This query is regarding wife.She is getting irrerugular periods and when we met doctor near by our home she has asked for internal ultra sound scanning of pelvis and in that we came to know she is having multiple cysts in both ovaries.Is this problem serious and will it impact pregnancy.

In your Wife's case, the ultrasound is suggestive of PCOD. PCOD is a condition where in numerous small fluid filled cysts will be located along the edge of each ovary, which affects release of Egg (Ovulation) causing difficulty in getting Pregnant.
Your Wife should consult a gynecologist and get proper treatment to regularize the cycles and to induce ovulation ( egg formation) so that her chances of conception can be increased.
Your Wife should follow these lifestyle modifications, along with Medications:
1.) She should eat Healthy nutritious balanced diet which should include fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.
2.) She should exercise regularly for an hour and maintain a healthy weight. Avoid high calorie foods
3.) She should avoid stress and practice relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation
4.) You should be avoiding smoking and alcohol
5.) Have daily unprotected sex between the 12th and 18th day of her cycle.
You should visit a designated fertility clinic & get her thoroughly evaluated. After full review of your case as a couple, your Gynecologist can make a plan for your fertility treatment.
