Brief Answer:
take progesterone only for 5 days

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mrs. XXXXXXX I understand your health concerns.
Polycystic ovarian disease is a clinical diagnosis and is based on the appearance of ovaries on ultrasound and thus has a lot of observation bias and also differs according to cycle day.
There is nothing to worry as many females suffer from polycystic ovaries these days and in case you don't want to take hormone pills then to regulate your periods you can take just progesterone tablets for 5 days at the end of each month to get withdrawal periods.
This will not be bothersome as no need to take daily pills and also that the cycle is also regular.
But taking the progesterone for just 5 days will only get you periods, it has no contraceptive benefits.
Take care.
