Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods While On Susten
Question: Hi Doctor,
I am having irregular periods( 26-28 days varies every month) so my doctor prescribed me susten 400mg,i am taking susten 400mg since 29th April 2015.I am TTC since 5 months & my period due date was supposed to be on 14th May 2015, I did pregnancy test today(16/05/2015) & result came negative.
Doctor suggested me to continue susten 400mg till my period begins
Is that susten 400mg tablet delays period cycle?

Brief Answer:
No it. May not delayed menses.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I can understand your concern here.
Susten is a progesterone and use to regulate your menstrual cycle, it may not delayed your menses.
Menses may be delayed due to so many other causes like pregnancy, stress, hormonal changes, birth control pill and PCOS.
In my opinion you should continue it and repeat pregnancy test after one week.
Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck.
Regards

Hi Doctor,
Good Morning, Could you please let me know on pregnancy symptoms? I am feeling drowsy all the day & i am going to office which is located at 3rd floor of the buidling & even my house is at second floor No lift at my house & office.
Will it cause any problem? i did checked in google about pregnancy symptom & i didnt have any symptom that was mentioned in google.
we are awaiting for good news ! but not sure whether it is because of delayed mensus or side effect of Susten 400 or PCOS
Do i need to undergo any tests for now or shall i continue the tablet ?
Thanks
Sujitha

Brief Answer:
Repeat pregnancy test on 23 rd may.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Sorry for the delay in my response.
Early symptoms of pregnancy can be nausea, vomiting, weakness, abdominal pain, mood changes, weight gain etc.
Climbing the stairs in early pregnancy can better be avoided ( if possible avoid it).
It can be due to pregnancy or can be due to PCOS.
You should wait and watch for your menses, if not resume get your pregnancy test on 23rd may.
It can be due to pregnancy or can be due to PCOS.
Hope it is useful.
Good luck.
Regards
