Brief Answer:
ultrasound and blood tests are advisable.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to HCM,

I can understand your concerns,

As you told that you have irregular periods with less flow.

I advice that you should go for ultrasound to rule out PCOS, thyroid profile and serum prolactin test as these can cause similar symptoms.

Consult your gynecologist.

I suggest that you should have healthy diet and regular exercise daily. Maintain BMI in normal range.

If feasible, discuss your reports with me.

Hope it helps.

Feel free to ask further.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
need some more details, ultrasound examination.

Detailed Answer:
Dear,
Sorry for delay in response.

The defnition of 'normal' menstruation varies from person to person.

Menstrual flow might occur every 21 to 35 days and last two to seven days.

Within a broad range, "normal" is what's normal for you.

Can you please describe following points for me:
Flow-Does it seem lighter or heavier than usual? How often do you need new sanitary protection?

Abnormal bleeding-Are you bleeding in between periods?

Pain-Describe any pain associated with your period. Does the pain feel worse than usual?

Have you experienced any changes in mood or behavior?

An ultrasound examination can help to rule out common causes of irregular menses like PCOD or fibroid.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards.
Dr. Nidhi.
