Can you please give some more details? Is it acute ischemia or chronic? All bowels are affected or only some part? Which part?

all i know at this point is that we have been told that it is a dead gut...we do not know if it is acute or chronic

Whole bowels affected means that he can not be cured.

If whole bowels are necrotic, than nothing can be done. If its only a part, surgical removal of affected bowels can save his life.
