Question: Hi dr,

I have had this bite on my leg for 3 days now which you can see in the attached image. It has still been itching and I have been using Stingose cream to stop the itching. Do you think its worth getting the bite checked out by a doctor if it doesn't stop itching?

Kind Regards,

Hi dr,

When I first noticed it I washed it with soap, when it first started itching which was maybe 10 minutes after I used antiseptic cream which stopped it and then I later brought Stingose which worked a lot better. I am not sure what the source of the bite was but judging by it may be a mosquito but im not too sure because I didn't see it happen just have a look at the attached picture. Also there is only two bites on my leg and one of them stopped itching after a day and has almost gone away. I haven't had any medications for it as itching is the only sympton I have had.

Brief Answer:
Steroid antibiotic combinations is ideal

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear

Welcome with the information.

It was very useful.

In the light of fresh facts, I think the following would work best in a situation like yours.

1 Using a combination of antibiotic and steroid. Mupirocin as an antibiotic and Hydro cortisone will be good to start with.

2 Anti allergic as suggested above will help a lot. The dose can be adjusted upwards to match the needs.

3 Wash the affected area repeatedly with lapin water and do not use any antiseptic.

Stingose may be stopped as the suggested remedies are likelier to work faster than that.
This should help you in prompt relief from the problem .In all probability, it is less likely that you will have to go to the doctor for control of itching.

Please let me know if there are other concerns.

Best wishes
