Suggest Treatment For Itchy Dryness On The Knuckles
you could be having pompholyx.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the details provided, it seems you could be having pompholyx. It is a type of hand eczema where one gets itchy pin point fluid filled raised lesions over palms and sides of fingers and it heals with dryness and exfoliation of skin. I need a photo of the rash so that I am better able to help you.
To treat the same, I usually prescribe:
potent steroid cream like clobetasol cream twice in a day
A thick moisturizer like cetaphil multiple times in a day
If lesions are too itchy, levocetrizine tablet 5 mg can be taken twice daily.
Usually in a week lesions improve. I would advise that you consult your dermatologist prior to starting medicines.
Take care.
