Suggest Treatment For Itchy Mosquito Bite

Question: I have what I think is a mosquito bite. it is raised and itchy. picture attached.

Is there anything I can put on it to ease the itching and or inflammation?

Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to see that you are suffering with an allergic reaction to a bite mosly liekly a mosquito. That pictures shows you not only have a local reaction to the bite but a larger systemic reaction with hives. To treat this I would recommend using two approaches. Start with taking benadryl or allegra for for internal attack of the allergy. Second a topical approach with hydrocortisone cream 4-6 times a day. This approach should take care of the itch and the rash in 1-2 days.

You can also use cold compresses or ice packs to reduce the itching.
