Hi there, thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic. I'd like to be able to help you and your wife with this. Can you answer a few questions for me and upload a picture of the rash?
What was your wife exposed to when the rash started? New Fabric? Insect bite etc?
Had she eaten anything new or taken any medication?
In general, an antihistamine like Benadryl will help clear up the rash. But the best thing is to find the source of the rash.
Try and attach the picture to this query. There should be a link on the right side of the page. Otherwise email the picture to YYYY@YYYY and ask the team to upload the picture to QueryID: 160897.
I hope this helps, I look forward to your reply.

Hi, we did have lunch outside and also went for shopping after that. She did try some garments.
Have attached the pics.

Brief Answer:
Seems very much like a case of contact dermatitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi there, thanks for answering back. I have a very string suspicion that the garments she trried on would have been coated with certain detergents that may have caused a skin allergy.
Technically, this is called contact dermatitis. Its a very simple thing to deal with and you need not worry that much about it.
You can try and use Lycor 1% cream on the rash affected area. It's a cream which contains hydrocortisone. It should clear things up in a day or two. If it doesn't clear things up in a week, then she will have to see a dermatologist. Don't use the lycor for more than a week.
Try it out and let me know how it goes.
