default
Posted on Fri, 17 Feb 2017
Question: I am taking Plavix 75 mg, and have been since May 2016. I am also taking one low dose aspirin a day. I have developed a rash and itch, spots that look like bruises on different areas of my body. Nothing seems to help the itch or rash.
My cardiologist is in XXXXXXX and we are 140 miles away, I live in a rural area of New Mexico, I have called
the Doctor's Office and have not had a response.

Brief Answer:
Be patient, it may take several days to recover

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

You developed allergy. Most probably it is not related to your medications as you have been taking them since May. Continue Betamethasone, you can take Benadryl with it also to have quicker effect. But usually it takes couple of days to recover. Avoid taking milk, eggs, nuts, wheat, shellfish, citruses and soy for some time.

Take care
