Posted on Thu, 7 Jan 2016
Question: Hello, I had been married for 20+ years. Now separated for 7 months. I have only had one partner since. My scrotum is itchy and now weeps sticky fluid through out my scrotum. I have treated it with lothromin and also tried a triple antibiotic cream. It just seems to be getting worse. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
scrotal eczema with secondary infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.I can understand your concern.

It seems you are suffering from scrotal eczema with secondary infection.

Scratching leads to damage of skin with secondary infection along with oozing.Triple combination creams contain steroids and they can also worsen the condition.

It will be important to clear infection first.A course of oral antibiotics like cefadroxil will help.Take this tablets for 5 days along with antihistaminics like cetrizine. You may apply a combination cream like fucibet once the infection gets clear.

It will be better if you avoid soap and antiseptics to clean area as they can lead to more irritation.

I hope this will help you.In case of any concern i will be happy to help you.Take care.
