Suggest Treatment For Kidney Infection In A Person With Depression
![default](/r/images/default.png)
My Girlfriend has a kidney infection since last Wednesday. She was put on a couple of courses of antibiotics and since then her mood has changed. She is snapping at every little thing and is very upset. She does suffer with depression but has been doing relatively well until this weekend. Just noticed she has been prescribed Gerax Antro polazam. Could this be contributing? What should I do?

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.
Gerax is a benzodiazepine that can radically affect people's moods. I suggest she not take this anymore. It can make depression worse and can cause rapid withdrawal leading to irritability. She should stop it.
