Suggest Treatment For Kidney Infections
Brief Answer:
Recurrent UTI
Detailed Answer:
Women are more prone to developing UTI, due to a shorter urethral length. However, 2 infections in 3 years is not very frequent.
The possibility of developing renal problems is difficult to predict, esp. if she had acute renal failure and it recovered completely. It will to some extent depend also on the severity of renal failure and the duration of renal failure before recovery.
If her renal function has recovered completely the chances of future development of renal failure are slim and there is no need of removal of kidneys.
Warm regards

Well, what causes a kidney infection and how can you prevent them? Are certain people's genes just more prone to them?
Brief Answer:
Women are more prone due to shorter urinary passage
Detailed Answer:
Shorter urinary passage makes them more prone to UTI.
usually organisms travel from the perineum via the urinary tract.
drinking plenty of water to get a urine flow of about 2 -2.5 Lit per day .
Avoiding prolonged holding of urine as this may result infection
Genetics does play a role but it influence is marginal..
