Brief Answer:
Consult urologist and take treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Your kidneys are normal in size. The stones in left kidney might be causing urinary outflow obstruction. This if left untreated can cause damage to the kidney. The urea level is normal but creatinine appears to be at upper limits of normal. I suggest you consult an urologist to discuss regarding possible treatment of the obstructive stone by lithotripsy if required.

At the same time you must drink lots of water and fluids with frequent urination. Also you may take alkasol with water.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Obstruction must be treated urgently

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in with an update.

Though the creatinine level is normal upto 1.5, its better to maintain it below 1.0. Obstruction to flow of urine for more than 10 days can cause kidney damage and that is usually seen as raised creatinine levels.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
Discus any obstruction due to stone with urologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in with an update.

A serum creatinine of 1.16 is acceptable. For a 9 mm stone it is better to take opinion from an urologist if the stone needs to be fragmented into smaller pieces and obstruction relieved. As told earlier please drink adequate fluids. Alkasol syrup may be taken for but this is for decreasing the acidity of urine and not a treatment for the stones.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Dr.Vivek
